Marta started her podcast, Marta on the Move, because she loves getting to know people, sitting down, and having real candid and comedic conversations. She covers a ton of interesting topics including board games, food, drinks, history, and everything in between.  S

She is also an experienced solo traveler, having done tomb excavations in Sicily, restored a 10th-century castle in France, lived on a boat for whale and dolphin conservation, helped build houses for the homeless in Portugal, cleaned up the coral reefs, and treasure dove near Key West.

In this episode, we discuss growing through travel, Marta’s brush with death, and how to interview well.

Jen Briney hosts Congressional Dish, a podcast covering the legislation that passes through Congress.

If you are an American, you are your Representative’s boss and Jen’s show will help you judge their job performance. Using the information from Congressional Dish, you can decide if their actions represent you and choose whether to re-hire or fire them. Jen does this by explaining complicated legislation in a way anyone can understand and exposing Representatives who accept legal bribes (“campaign contributions”) from industries that benefit from their bills.

Her tenacity and intellect are surpassed only by her passion for better governance and representation.

Jennifer’s Challenge; Communicate with your Congressman. Phone calls are most effective.

Kevin started his career as a logistics officer for SWAT. This experience gave him insight into the criminal justice world and he soon found that training SWAT teams was the best way to reduce use of force while ensuring the national security of our country. Fulcrum Tactical was born out of that idea and within 18 months he took it from a charity to a for-profit company.

He started investing in startups on the side but focused on Fulcrum Tactical and his new venture, Fulcrum Farms, a sustainable farm producing high quality meat and eggs for families and restaurants in the Chicagoland area. After 6 years, Kevin sold Fulcrum Tactical and moved on to investing in startups full time by starting Fulcrum Investing.

Kevin’s Challenge; Set aside designated time every day to plan your next step.

Jesse is a graduate from Union College with a degree in Computer Science and Economics. Throughout school, Jesse found an equally strong passion for electronic music and crypto currencies leading to a senior editor position at DancingAstronuat.com when he was just a Sophomore.

After graduating Union, Jesse went on to work for SFX Entertainment, managing cashless payment technology and access control at live events; in addition to conducting research into the future of visitor event identification.

Jesse left SFX in December 2014 determined to find another company that promised to make a difference in the world. In the beginning of 2015, Jesse found ConsenSys and immediately got involved in the unnamed music project. Fast forward almost two years and Ujo Music is developing into the blockchain + music infrastructure.

Mark has been an active real estate investor since 2004, so he brought a wealth of knowledge with him when he founded Luxmana Investments in 2011.  He started out as a part-time investor––holding a full-time job in high tech––and his passion for real estate enabled him to escape the rat race of Corporate America.

Prior to Luxmana, Mark succeeded in multiple development projects in the trendy Highlands and Berkeley areas of Denver, Colorado.  Since then, he's acquired dozens of residential and multifamily income properties through Luxmana Investments LLC, which he founded in 2011, and Peak Margin Partners LLC, which he co-founded in 2013.

Mark has successfully overseen the operations of his own assets, and that of other investors, in Colorado, Texas, Florida and Illinois.  This includes his active involvement with MBP Capital and Catalyst Multifamily Management—a highly successful multifamily investment, management and brokerage firm.  During this tenure, Mark has had property management oversight of his Dallas area multifamily portfolio, while assisting with acquisitions and dispositions of assets as well.
